Self Psychology PrizeKohut Memorial Fund Committee
A prize of $1500 plus travel expenses to present a winning paper to the 26th Annual Conference on Psychoanalytic Self Psychology in November, 2003, in Washington, DC, will be awarded by the Kohut Memorial Fund Committee. The intent of this competition is to stimulate interest on the part of developing scholars in the arts, humanities and social sciences in applying the ideas contained in Heinz Kohut's Psychology of the Self to their respective fields. Consequently, this paper must demonstrate a familiarity with and an application of Kohut's theories to topics within the fields of history, social sciences, literature, philosophy and the arts. In keeping with the intent of this prize, eligibility is limited to non-clinical scholars who are neither tenured nor are more than ten years post-doctoral degree. Six typed, double-spaced manuscripts, not to exceed 25 pages in length, plus the author’s curriculum vitae should be submitted to the committee by February 14, 2003. The Committee’s judgment will be final and the winner will be notified by June 1, 2003. Entries will not be returned. Please send your manuscripts to:
