The selfpsychologist doesn´t take a clear standpoint in the issuie of intersubjectivity. The old problem is not clearified by a statment of empathy. You can have empathy with a stone and not at all knowing what is inside it. Is the empathy-concept of any worth then? Is it a mere questionn of being nice only? Why not take the step and propose that empaty is the result of a real knowing another subject. Then it IS intersubjetivity, otherwise I is not if got my epistomology right. Sooner or later one has too face that important and old question of wich there is no real answer but nevertheles impotant to answer - in a form of statment or belief.
