i think BPD is a very confusing diagnosis... but all that means is that it needs to be sifted thru and put in different catagories. the 'symptoms' are real, and they are very scary, and since it affects, what else?, personality, i think the name is fitting enough. 'borderline' just means that it's a melee of a whole bunch of different problems all congruent with some main issue. for me, it coincides with mjr. depression, and PTSD and many, many other things. the fact that i know a number of other people diagonsed with it and that we each have very simalar problems and past histories, i believe makes BPD a signifigant diagnosis. that is just my opinion tho.
